Examples of “Other” needs: Furnace (senior couple with no heat), room heater (boiler broken in mental health group home), property taxes (82 yr.-old woman), gasoline or car to get to work, suicide counseling for child, propane, hygiene items, furniture, dental aid to treat abscess before major surgery, medicine, school supplies, diapers, car repairs, holiday aid, funeral costs, legal aid, cell phone minutes to get crisis aid, a caring ear to listen.

Factors in these callers’ lives included:
